Reference Point has relocated to Lymington at the beautiful coast of Hampshire, at the heart
of the English marine and yacht-building industry. The moving vans rolled up in July to take us
south from Edinburgh, and we now expect to deliver a host of fresh business advantages to our

In mid-2008 Reference Point's Director, Nele Andersch, building on steadily growing business opportunities, became director of Hanse Schiffstechnik International Ltd. HSI promotes innovative engineering products to the marine industry, and it soon became clear both companies could benefit by closer partnership working. SMM 2010: Book Now
The world's leading marine trade fair Shipbuilding, Machinery, Marine Technology (SMM) is just around the corner. From 7 -10 September 2010 Hamburg Messe und Congress GmbH will host over 2,000 exhibitors from around 50 nations, showcasing their wares to and within the global maritime industry. 105 British companies will be among them! And we are expecting huge numbers of visitors again, as in 2008 we had more than 52,000.
If you are in the maritime business, the Shipbuilding, Machinery and Marine Technology International Trade Fair is unmissable. After SMM 2008's resounding success, with expanded fairground, UK national pavilion and a reception aboard a Royal Navy destroyer, bookings are already currently ahead of the numbers we had at this time for the 2008 event. In fact Reference Point was already making bookings for SMM 2010 even as the 2008 event closed.

Hotels at SMM - new opportunity
Believe it nor not, hotels are already heavily booked for SMM 2010. So we at Reference Point have teamed up with TEST, a German company that provides trade fair and congress hotels. TEST has been in business for 20 years. We have selected a number of hotels in Hamburg together for you to choose from. They cover all ranges and we hope you find them suitable for your accommodation during SMM 2010.
